Abstract:
Archaeology uncovered included IA field system, roundhouses and a sub-rectangular enclosure, RB stone flooring, Saxon pottery, artefacts (including a ring-&-dot-decorated spoon), medieval and post-medieval trackways. The area was subject to salvage-recording conditions, although it was felt that the archaeology was at least of regional importance and warranted properly resourced excavation.
