Describes and discusses a cruciform brooch and an equal-arm brooch, both of leaded bronze, that were found by metal detection near the hillfort. They are of fifth-century date and are thus the earliest Anglo-Saxon objects yet found in Dorset. The finds are considered in the context of other artefacts from the the vicinity, including a spearhead from Hod Hill. | ||
