Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
A lightweight 26ft high tower for accurate photographic planning of excavated sites has been developed at Leeds University. It was tested on the Neo-BA site at Grantully, where a series of pits and scoops contained a variety of Neo wares, and nearby was a small cremation cemetery with BA grave-goods. The method of photogrammetric recording over 15ft squares is briefly described. The resulting photographs are assembled into a mosaic and re-photographed. Vertical stereo pairs can be produced by moving the tower 2-3ft between photographs. The tower is collapsible for transport on a car roof. | ||||||
