Reports on GPR mapping of the underlying topography of part of a promontory between Loch Linnhe and Loch Leven revealed a series of anomalies. Results were corroborated by `ground-truthing' (sediment coring and test pits). Some anomalies were shown by trial excavation to relate to a buried prehistoric landsurface and organic material including four wooden stakes (dated by radiocarbon to the second millennium BC). | ||||
