Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Two approaches are examined, the first using PMAX and fractional conversion data, and the second based on the relationship between topsoil and subsoil magnetic susceptibility. Results from three sites -- Derby, Luton (Bedfordshire), and Walton Basin (Powys) -- suggest that the first approach has considerable potential and should be used routinely in magnetic susceptibility surveys. A recommended sampling and analytical strategy is suggested for fractional conversion work. The second approach has more limited potential. |
