Abstract:		 Details of small-scale investigations of rooms 1-3 aimed at extending knowledge derived from previous work and enhancing presentation to the public. Appendix 1 `Romano-British building, Fordcroft, Orpington (Scheduled Ancient Monument -- Greater London 145)' (32) details the 1990 proposal put to English Heritage and resulting in the 1993 excavations. Appendix 2 `The pottery from the Romano-British building, Poverest Road (site code PR 93)' (33-5) is followed by appendix 3 `The metalworking debris from Romano-British building, Poverest Road (site code PR 93)' (36) mainly comprising `Report on the metalworking debris from room 1' by P T Craddock (36). Appendix 4 presents the `Context concordance guide for the 1971-80 and 1993 excavations with the 1994 recording system' (37) and appendix 5 provides a `Description of contexts' (38-45). A small bibliography completes the proceedings.
