Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Describes a Bronze Age vessel recently recovered during excavations on the Isle of Thanet in advance of construction of the East Kent Access Road. The pot is of a type known as a Food Vessel but, uniquely, it comprises three small conjoined vessels. Only one multiple example has been seen before, when two conjoined vessels were found in Staffordshire in the 19th century. The triple pot lay in the grave of a young woman within a group of six former burial mounds close to Manston Airport. LD | ||||||||
