The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Description of a deep excavation for the construction of a pumping-station in 1965, during which several wooden posts and a quantity of medieval pottery and other domestic rubbish were found at a depth of between six and twelve feet. Pottery ranged in date from about 1275 to about 1600, the great majority being before 1350. Other finds included oyster shells and pieces of leather foot-wear. The report also considers the silting processes in the creek in relation to the deposits in the excavation pit.
