Abstract:
Report on the rescue excavation in 1966, in advance of gravel extraction, of an otherwise unknown, and already partly destroyed, small Roman farmstead at Horton Kirby. Roman tile and pottery were observed during gravel extraction, following which an extensive occupation area, four pits and two small ditches were located and examined. The report includes a detailed description of some of the pottery recovered.
