Abstract:		 Details results of excavations which revealed medieval rubbish pits and a post-medieval tannery. The results are discussed in relation to the development of medieval Pershore and the appearance of tanning activities during the post-medieval period. There are specialist reports on `Medieval and post-medieval pottery' by Stephanie Ratkai (155-9), `Tile' by Lynne Bevan (160-2). `Miscellaneous finds' by Iain Ferris (162-4), includes details of worked stone, clay pipe, glass, and corroded iron objects. `Animal bone and shell' by Stephanie Pinter-Bellows (164-5), and `Plant remains' by Lisa Moffett (165-6) complete the separately authored reports.
