Abstract:		 Reports results of evaluation, excavation and watching brief at the site. Ancillary buildings' foundations and back-filled features probably representing the mill pond and by-pass stream were located to the north and east of the mill. Also noted are preliminary Civil War defence workings and a prehistoric soil horizon yielding worked flint. There are reports on: `Medieval pottery'(285) and `Ceramic and stone building material' (286) both by Catherine Underwood-Keevill; `Animal bone' by Nicola Scott (286); `Flint' by Philippa Bradley (286--7); `Small finds' by Leigh Allen (287--8); `Clay pipes' by John Moore (288); and finally, `Environmental evidence' by Gillian Campbell (288--9).
