Abstract:
Summary of the RCHME's programmes of aerial photography in North Oxfordshire since 1967. Reports that there was a dramatic increase in the number of sites that were identified between 1987 and 1996, due in part to a series of especially hot summers. The study has revealed approximately 275 new sites, representing every period from Neolithic to Romano-British.
