Abstract:		 A summary of the main report, outlining defence construction including the wall and tower, finds including pottery, wood, copper alloy objects, iron objects, coins, charred plant remains (evidence for gardening), animal and bird bones, snails, charcoal, and pollen. Attempts to provide more specific dating included dendrochronological and 14C dates from timber piles, coin evidence, and pottery analysis. However, nothing more refined than a fourth-century AD wall construction date can be proposed, with later pottery and known activity pointing to a destruction date circa fourteenth century.
