Abstract:
[TL 865190]. Sherds from a fine grey-ware pot imitating terra nigra are decorated with repeated impressions of figures, one of them a rider with a Celtic shield and a crook. The impressions were probably stamped from metal dies, as fine as a coiner's, probably originally meant for the production of relief-moulded sheet-metal vessels depicting a parade. Late 1st century BC or early 1st AD.
