Most are technical studies not particularly relevant to archaeology in Britain or Ireland, but the introductory paper, `Speleothems and climate: a special issue of The Holocene by Stein-Erik Lauritzen & Joyce Lundberg (643--7), provides a useful overview of the mechanisms of speleothem deposition and the properties of speleothems that are useful for studying climatic change.
