Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The circumstances of the discovery of a Neolithic settlement, by a group of Young Archaeologists from Biggar Museum, are described. The site came to light only after the land had been ploughed for the first time and the problem of coping with recording such sites is discussed. The Biggar Common site was investigated by stripping the new ploughsoil for sieving and excavating the in situ features. Pottery was recovered, largely from the sieved soil. | |||||
