Abstract:		 Outlines some of the achievements of the Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS), which was established almost seventeen years ago, and mentions some of the projects the PAS is currently involved with as well as some of the pressures currently faced by the scheme's Finds Liaison Officers. In 2014, within the four counties covered by this Newsletter 551 individuals have offered about 9,800 artefacts for recording, over 5,000 of which are coins from an important early medieval hoard found near Buckingham. Overall Roman finds are the most numerous, with medieval and post-medieval artefacts second and third respectively. This report offers a spotlight on some finds of note from each county. LD
