Abstract:
Archaeological excavation of seven areas totalling about four hectares was undertaken by Albion Archaeology between October 2014 and February 2015, in advance of proposed development between Bromham Road (A428), Biddenham and the Bedford Northern Bypass (currently under construction). The excavations revealed evidence dating from the Neolithic to the post-medieval period, summarised in this article. Some of the activity is the continuation of that found during investigations ahead of the new bypass.
