Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation and excavation were carried out by Pre-Construct Archaeology in advance of redevelopment at 16 North Street, Leighton Buzzard, in September 2013. The northern part of the site had been heavily truncated by a former garage and bus depot and no archaeological remains survived. However, late Saxon and medieval deposits were preserved on higher ground in the south of the site, which had previously been gardens. The findings are outlined in this short article. LD
