Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Excavation of a small ring-ditch in advance of gravel extraction produced rare evidence for an IA inhumation burial in association with a barrow. The burial, identified from a soil stain, was associated with gravegoods suggesting a date in the fifth--fourth century BC. There are details of the La Tène I `Iron brooch' by D F Mackreth (397--8); `The iron bracelet' (398), and `The bronze pendant' (398), both by Ian Stead; and `Textile and fibre remains' by Glynis Edwards (398). | |||||||||||
