Abstract:
Details of excavations carried out in 1997 where tesserae were found to have been uncovered. The central panel is a square guilloche mat surrounded by blue, grey, red and white rows which are thought to be the work of the Corinian Orpheus School based at Cirencester. The mosaic was subsequently packed with soil and reburied for the future.
