Abstract:
SS 102003. Small-scale excavation in advance of commercial development cleared up some doubtful points about material recovered previously. An assemblage of Creswellian character came from disturbed deposits; flint points, scrapers, a graver, blades and a couple of microliths are catalogued. Occupation probably began during the last glacial period but extended to the Boreal and Atlantic phases. A little EIA and RB pottery (not figured) came from superficial and derived deposits. Appended are analyses of soil and mollusca, and a bone-list.
