Abstract:
Limited excavation of a small defended ?Iron Age enclosure revealed an early med cemetery as its final use, with a long cist grave cut into the defences at about 665 ad. There were three phases of enclosure, pre-cemetery features being overlaid by rows of dug graves and cist burials. Whether of Iron Age or early med origins remains unclear. A gazetteer of cist cemeteries in Dyfed is provided and discussed. Au(adp)
