A number of EIA features were identified on a housing development site at the southern edge of Saffron Walden. The most prominent feature was a group of intercutting pits, interpreted as quarries or working hollows, and implying settlement nearby. There is a report on the `Prehistoric pottery' by Nigel Brown (259 & 262), `Lithics' by Louise Austin (262), and the `Faunal remains' by Alec Wade (262). | |||||||||
