Abstract:
A report derived from a survey of standing buildings on about twenty sites in and around Deptford High Street, London SE8. The buildings largely comprise small eighteenth-century houses which are considered important as they are examples of an under-studied class of English domestic buildings, namely early-modern artisanal town houses. The survey was supported by documentary research.
