Abstract:
TM 005252. This timber-framed building at 1-2 East Bay had its frame completely exposed during restoration work. Detailed study suggested it had been built in 15th century and that its hall was replaced by a two-storey block between 1550 and 1625 - possibly a not uncommon process locally. Joints are shown in detail. Au(adp)
