Abstract:
Apart from some 12th century quarrying (sand/brickearth) the site was not used until late 16th/early 17th (walls and refuse tip). A brick-built terrace of domestic and workshop accommodation (1670s to mid-18th) yielded a good sample of tools and domestic possessions of the less well-to-do. A cellar nearby was slightly wealthier. Cartographic and faunal evidence.
