Abstract:
Examines historical evidence for the exploitation and decline of an area of post-medieval woodland, itself a remnant of a much more extensive forest in North Kerry. The sources allow reconstruction of a list of the plant species represented. Appendices (128--31) list documented cased of trespass and other offences and present a valuation of Trinity College Woods undertaken in 1727.
