Discusses preliminary investigations of a series of coastal sites, located near Knock Head, Co Galway, which represent a small sample of a large number of middens that are being destroyed by wave and surface erosion. Limited excavations were conducted in 1992 to provide samples for radiocarbon dating. Alison Sheridan (78--9) provides a `Report on the pottery from False Bay', and David Weir examines `Seed remains from False Bay' (79--80) and `Charred seed remains from Mannin 2 (MN2)' (81--2). | ||||||||
