Abstract:		 Reports on excavations at the smaller court-tomb at Ballyglass, undertaken in 1968 and 1972. The work confirmed that the ruined structure consisted of a concave façade with a passage to an oval court, which gave access to a two-chambered gallery. Traces of two huts were also found. A total of 490 stone implements or parts of implements were recovered during excavations, and all but twenty-three of these were of chert -- the finds included concave scrapers, rounded scrapers, arrowheads and a polished stone axe-head. There was evidence for knapping activity on the site. Three dependable radiocarbon determinations from the site returned dates of 2320 BC, 2320 BC and 2240 BC -- `Radiocarbon dating' (143) and `Bone analysis of cremated remains' by Barra Ó Donabháin (144--7).
