The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Reports on investigations at two sites. The first was a associated with a souterrain and corn drying kiln. The kiln contained iron slag and some animal bone. Radiocarbon dates indicate occupation from the eighth to tenth centuries AD. The second site was a rectangular enclosure contiguous with an earlier field boundary. A finds report catalogues miscellaneous objects of metal stone and clay. Appendices comprise `The pottery' by Rosanne Meenan (149), the `Animal bone report' by Eoin Halpin (149--51); an `Environmental analysis' by John Tierney (152--5); `Radiocarbon dates' (155--6); and an `Analysis of slag' by Joseph Heyenga (156--7).
