Research by the finder of a 17th century silver seal matrix recovered in two pieces at Honeybourne, near Evesham, revealed a connection to the Worshipful Company of Founders. On learning of the discovery, the Company requested permission to have several copies of the seal made, including one for the County Museum and one for the finder, at its own expense. A brief account is given of the manufacture of these items. The museum's copy, along with the original, can be viewed by appointment. LD | ||
