Study arising from sixteen fragments of tile from four Romano-British sites in Kent and London, all of which contain all or part of a Latin inscription identifying the manufacturer as Cabriabanus. The author describes the circumstances of discovery, the type and distribution of the tiles, the inscription, recent archaeological excavations at Plaxtol, where some of the tile fragments had been found, and the method for making box and voussoir tiles. | |||
