Abstract:		 Reports on the investigation of a group of earthwork sites along the Salt Rhine, north of Avonmouth. One moated site was extensively excavated and evaluation and survey were undertaken elsewhere. Evidence of a prehistoric horizon was found. The moated site was occupied from the thirteenth century until the late-eighteenth, when the centre of occupation moved to Rockingham Farm. Finds include:
