Reports on the excavation of a small barrow cemetery, ahead of gravel extraction. The cemetery comprised a Beaker ring-ditch, a Beaker grave, and two smaller possible ring-ditches. A multi-phased penannular ring-ditch with a second Deverel-Rimbury cremation cemetery and a `U'-shaped enclosure (probably of earlier date) were also excavated. The excavation also revealed evidence of Iron Age settlement and a Roman trackway and field system. The `Area descriptions' by A Barclay & H Glass (25--39) are interspersed with short notes describing the `Human bone' by A Boyle (25, 29 & 37), `Pottery' by A Barclay (25, 29, 37--8, 39), `Flint' by P Bradley (25, 29, 31, 37 & 39), `Metalwork' by J Wallis (29), and`Antler' by N Scott (39). The overall significance of the finds evidence is then discussed in a section comprising `Human Bone' by A Boyle (39 & 40--1), `Pottery' by A Barclay (41--3), `Worked flint' by P Bradley (43--5), `Description' [of the bronze bracelet] by J Wallis (45), `Analysis' [of the bronze bracelet] by P Northover (45--6 & 47), `Molluscs and carbonised plant remains' by M Robinson (46 & 47), and `Radiocarbon dating' by J Ambers (47--8) of the British Museum.
