Abstract:
Recent work on Donegore Hill, 5km from Lyles Hill, yielded clear evidence for a causewayed camp with enormous quantities of Lyles Hill wares, thus reawakening interest in the type-site itself whose Neo attribution had been questioned. A short season at Lyles Hill revealed that the bank is almost certainly Neolithic in date, with pre-bank ploughing and pollen of barley and associated weeds. The interior contains a trench of palisade type.
