Abstract:
Fieldwalking in advance of a pipeline project revealed two small enclosures, a single roundhouse ring ditch and numerous shallow pits and postholes. A bound human skeleton was found with a torc around its neck. Part of an early Christian cemetery of twenty-three inhumations was also found. A distinctive deformation of wrist bones was found on both the Iron Age and one of the medieval skeletons. This is take to suggest a continuity of the population for over a millennium.
