Abstract:
A pagan cemetery with graves aligned N-S was followed in ?early 4th century by a large number of W-E burials. Nailed wooden coffins were common and some bodies had gravegoods. The presumed church, sited at one corner of the cemetery, was long and narrow, dating to AD 320-40, with a secondary E apse. Associated finds included kitchen vessels and animal bones with bird and piglet dominant. The remains of the building have been laid out for public view.
