Abstract:		 Reports a series of trial excavations east of the churchyard of Govan Old Parish Church, Glasgow, which clarified understanding of the configuration of the churchyard and demonstrated that structures associated with the former artificial mound known as Doomster Hill survived. Pre-modern burials and foundations of what may be part of an early church were also recovered.
