Abstract:
Separate reports on two objects, from Micheldever, that had been brought to the Historic Resources Centre. The first, by Robin Iles (10), describes a sixth-century gilded bronze button brooch bearing a (smiling) human mask. The second, by Catherine Haith (10--11) is on a tinned copper alloy sieve-spoon or skimmer; although generally rare in AS contexts, these are often found with crystal balls in female graves.
