Abstract:
Several human burials were disturbed during construction work for a new farmhouse. Subsequent investigations revealed evidence for RB occupation in the area consisting of a well-preserved grain drier, stone structures, a number of ditches and pits, and a small later RB inhumation cemetery which included several cist burials. There are notes on: `The finds' by L N Mepham (21); `Roman coins' by M C Corney (21); `Objects of iron' by L N Mepham (22); `Worked flint' by P A Harding (24); `The human remains' by J I McKinley (24--7); `Environmental evidence: charred plant remains from the grain drier' by J B Letts (27--9); `Charcoal from the grain drier' by R Gale (29); `Plant macrofossils from other contexts' by M J Allen (29); and `Animal bones' by Sheila Hamilton-Dyer (29--30).
