Excavation in 2010 near two large standing stones at Bry Gwyn (SAM A22) confirmed that they had once formed part of a stone circle c.16m in diameter consisting of eight stones that were alternately slabs and columns dating to the Later Neolithic associated with cremation activity. Evidence was also found of modification of the circle in the Early Bronze Age. Includes specialist reports on the cremated bone, pottery, stone, radiocarbon dates and environmental analyses. | ||||||||
