Remains of a single phase of the glass industry included failed objects (stud and beads), monochrome glass rods, reticella rods, scrap glass, and (of special significance) glass-making crucibles. A full chemical and physical analysis of the glass and glass-bearing material is presented, the first evidence for actual manufacture of glass within Ireland. A classification of sites involved in the EC glass industry is presented (possible glass working, definite glass working, and glass making). Au (adp) | |||||
