Reports on excavations in advance of development at the first of two ringforts (see also 97/***). It is shown that the fort was enclosed by two concentric ditches with no evidence of a bank, although a possible beam slot for a palisade was noted. The interior contained two round houses. Appendices comprise a report on `Charred wood remains from Raheens 1' (87) and a `Lithic report' by Elizabeth Anderson (87--9). | ||||||||
