Comprises an interim report on excavations at Kilcolman Castle (Co Cork), carried out as part of a study of Elizabethan colonisation. Three areas were investigated: part of the ground floor of the fifteenth-century tower house, the bawn wall, and the possible site of the castle hall within the bawn. Miscellaneous finds of medieval and later date are noted.
