Abstract: Summary of research and survey work undertaken by ArcHeritage at the site of Rockley Furnace and Engine House, a Scheduled Monument near Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The project was commissioned on behalf of the South Yorkshire Industrial History Society, and involved the participation and training of local volunteers. Rockley Furnace was a charcoal-fired cold blast furnace, constructed at the beginning of the 18th century; the engine house was built in 1813. The survey produced elevations and profiles of the furnace and engine house alongside earthwork and topographic plans. LD
