Draws together the results of Time Team investigation in 1997 with subsequent work. These investigations demonstrated that the settlement was significantly larger than the visible earthworks and identified it as a planned settlement with a manorial enclosure. A building interpreted as a 'long house' was partially excavated while excavation on the 'village green' suggested an earlier phase of planned settlement. | ||||
