Abstract:
Reports the investigation of features including eight barrows or ring-ditches and various pits. Five of the barrows formed a linear cemetery, aligned east--west. Three complete Bronze Age inhumation burials were discovered. Finds from the excavation include: pottery (of various dates); 23,601 pieces of worked flint (Neolithic & Bronze Age); a wristguard from a Beaker burial; a complete greenstone axe from a Neolithic pit; and twelve copper alloy objects including two possible awl fragments, one rivet, and three daggers all of Bronze Age date.
