Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The College's Gothic chapel stands on the site of a thirteenth century chapel demolished in the 1860s. No records exist bar one photograph taken of the interior before demolition. There is an altar tomb set into the wall and a back panel clearly showing matrices of brasses. The tomb itself does not appear well preserved and the style dates it to the latter quarter of the sixteenth century. It may have commemorated a Dr Thomson whose chantry adjoins the site, though there is no conclusive evidence. | |||||||
