Abstract:
This seventh century AD `Kentish' pattern brooch was recovered from possibly the earliest Christian cemetery in Norfolk. The gold face inlaid with garnets and glass was riveted to an inscribed silver backplate whose pin and catchplate survived. A runic inscription names the craftsman who was responsible for its two repairs. AR
